Microneedling

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a microneedling pen with tiny, fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. This process stimulates the skin's natural healing response and promotes the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that are essential for maintaining the skin's firmness and elasticity.

What does microneedling treat?

  • Hyperpigmentation

The controlled micro-injuries created during microneedling can help improve the appearance of dark spots, sunspots, and uneven skin tone by triggering the skin's natural healing response

  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles

It stimulates collagen production, which can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leading to smoother and tighter skin.

  • Uneven Texture

Improves skin texture, including reducing the appearance of roughness and enlarged pores.

  • Acne and Acne Scars

Reduces the appearance of acne scars by promoting collagen remodeling and encouraging the growth of new, healthy skin cells.

  • Dull Skin

By promoting cell turnover and collagen production, microneedling can help revive dull and lackluster skin, resulting in a more radiant complexion.

PRP Microneedling

Microneedling with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is an advanced cosmetic procedure that combines the benefits of microneedling with the regenerative properties of PRP. PRP is a concentrated portion of your own blood that contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and other healing components.

The combination of microneedling & PRP offers several benefits:

  • Collagen Stimulation

Microneedling with PRP promotes the production of collagen and elastin, leading to improved skin texture, firmness, and elasticity.

  • Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles

The collagen-stimulating effects of microneedling combined with the regenerative properties of PRP can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leading to smoother and more youthful-looking skin.

  • Enhanced Healing and Rejuvenation

The growth factors and healing components present in PRP help accelerate the skin's natural healing process, resulting in improved skin tone, texture, and overall appearance.

  • Improved Skin Tone and Texture

Microneedling with PRP can help address skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, sun damage, acne scars, and uneven skin tone, resulting in a more even and radiant complexion.

How does PRP Microneedling work?

During the microneedling portion of the procedure, a device with fine needles is used to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. This process stimulates collagen production and enhances the absorption of the PRP into the deeper layers of the skin.

  • At Galore Medical we use the highest quality of topical numbing ointment to ensure there is minimal discomfort during the procedure. It is possible that you may experience some redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising.

  • The duration of a microneedling procedure is around 45 minutes to an hour (including numbing time) with or without PRP.

  • There is little to no downtime associated with microneedling, allowing you to resume your daily activities without interruption. Nonetheless, a few individuals may encounter mild side effects like swelling, redness, or bruising, which should completely subside within 3-5 days and have minimal impact.

Adding PRP to your microneedling treatment can cut down the healing time to 2-3 days. We recommend that you avoid any strenuous exercise and alcohol consumption for 48 hours.
